3 Goals I Want To Achieve This Year

 Goals 

1. My first goal this year is to make straight A's in all my classes. My GPA isn't in the place I would want it, So I'm taking two APs this year to fix my GPA for when I graduate.  I could meet this goal by studying daily, listening, and doing my work in class. 

2. I want to make the Varsity Soccer team this year. I have been on JV for two years and it's time for me to play for varsity. I need to practice, train, and watch the game to reach this goal. 

3. A personal goal I want to achieve this year is becoming a better me. I want to focus on myself and my relationship with god because I want to become a better person in general. I need to really take a look at myself and think about what I need to do, to be a better version of myself.

 The word machination refers to a secret, often dishonest plan or scheme, usually with bad intentions. I first came across it while reading books or plays with characters who were plotting against each other, like in Shakespeare’s *Julius Caesar*. Understanding the word *machination* helps me explain situations where people are planning something tricky or unfair. It gives me a way to describe these kinds of plans in more detail, making my writing sound more interesting and clearer when I want to talk about complicated or sneaky actions.
