Group Project 8/21/2024

 1. Today we got into groups and read an origin myth about a boy and his father. Our group took turns reading the passage and got assigned a project. Everyone had a different slide to do regarding the text.

2. Today I learned a story and I learned how to use the conflict of the story to answer questions.

3. I liked that we were in groups and we did work together. 

4. I felt really comfortable in my group

 The word machination refers to a secret, often dishonest plan or scheme, usually with bad intentions. I first came across it while reading books or plays with characters who were plotting against each other, like in Shakespeare’s *Julius Caesar*. Understanding the word *machination* helps me explain situations where people are planning something tricky or unfair. It gives me a way to describe these kinds of plans in more detail, making my writing sound more interesting and clearer when I want to talk about complicated or sneaky actions.
