1. Today we took notes on how to brainstorm, and we went over topics, subtopics, and details about the subtopics. The five steps to a writing process are Prewriting - Drafting- Revising- Editing- Presenting. 

2. Today I learned that Writer's block means when a writer is stuck and doesn't know how to start his story 

3. I liked that we took notes and went over every little detail and really explained what each term meant

4. I felt good today learning

 The word machination refers to a secret, often dishonest plan or scheme, usually with bad intentions. I first came across it while reading books or plays with characters who were plotting against each other, like in Shakespeare’s *Julius Caesar*. Understanding the word *machination* helps me explain situations where people are planning something tricky or unfair. It gives me a way to describe these kinds of plans in more detail, making my writing sound more interesting and clearer when I want to talk about complicated or sneaky actions.
