10/28/24

 On October 28, we got assigned into groups for our class presentations. I got partnered up with Cameron, Lucas, Dennis, and myself. Every group in the class got to read the same story, but everyone in every group got assigned a different job for the project. There were multiple jobs. Illustrator is the one I got, a dictionary, a connector, etc.

I liked the idea of groups and the group assignment. We all took turns reading the story and had our own parts, making it easier for us to work together since we weren't sharing. 

Today was a good day and I enjoyed my time in class

 Today we writes about claims against and for different sentences.  The word machination refers to a secret, often dishonest plan or scheme, usually with bad intentions. I first came across it while reading books or plays with characters who were plotting against each other, like in Shakespeare’s *Julius Caesar*. Understanding the word *machination* helps me explain situations where people are planning something tricky or unfair. It gives me a way to describe these kinds of plans in more detail, making my writing sound more interesting and clearer when I want to talk about complicated or sneaky actions.
